Invisalign refinements are small ‘alterations’ or ‘revisions’ your dentist may need to add onto the end of your treatment.

Teeth are unpredictable in nature. For some people, their teeth will move exactly as planned, and at the end of their first series of aligners, their teeth will be exactly where they want them to be from just one set of aligners! This, however, isn’t the case for all patients, like me!

In my last post I explained I am now onto the next stage of my treatment which involves wearing 17 refinement aligners.

I was shown a new ClinCheck to help me understand how my teeth are going to move this time around and what the end product should look like. The transformation isn't as huge this time, as these are only refinements, but we will definitely see some good improvements.

For the next batch of aligners I needed to get new scans done and wait for the aligners to be made, just like the first round. My refinements did not cost any extra and I am currently on refinement aligner 11 of 17.
