So, pre Invisalign my teeth weren't horrendous, nor were they nice. I'd been thinking about getting them done for around 6 months, doing some research and watching YouTube reviews. I think what sealed the deal for me was when I went on my most recent holiday with my boyfriend and looked back on the photos. The big cheesy smiles highlighted the fact I wasn't 100% happy (it didn't help Jord has bloody gorgeous teeth!) so I decided it was time to do something about it.
My teeth were in overall good condition but I'd love for them to be straighter and whiter. I could feel wisdom teeth coming in from the top and bottom and I knew my mouth felt overcrowded. This was only going to push the front tooth (that I hated) on more of an angle, which was already starting to hook over the other.
Now for the embarrassing part! The before photos:

After researching everything I knew that Invisalign was going to set me back a couple of grand, so I wanted to get three different opinions and prices. When you're spending that amount of money you want to have complete confidence in the provider. I decided to research local companies in the North East of England where I lived and I shortlisted Cleveland Orthodontics, Queensway and MiSmile.
Each place was offering a free consultation, so I rang up and booked myself in for an appointment at each. My first consultation was with Cleveland Orthodontics and the people there were lovely and professional, however, the Ortho did try to talk me out of having Invisalign and said I would get a much better results with a fixed, metal brace. This was honestly not what I wanted to hear and I came away from the appointment feeling really disappointed as I had my heart set on Invisalign. The Ortho said the decision was up to me and gave me costs for a few different options which where:
White Metal Brace - £3,680
Coloured Metal Brace - £2,265
Invisalign - £3,680
My second consultation at Queensway was a couple of days later and from this first appointment I was completely sold. The Ortho told me they were complete specialists in Invisalign and he believed he would be able to get me a fantastic result with Invisalign. He quoted me £3,770 which was close to the first provider - I was over the moon! I knew from my first appointment that it just felt right and I actually went on to cancel my appointment at MiSmile.
